PoE2 Atlas Shouldn’t be Infinite

After playing a lot of PoE2, I want to provide feedback that the infinite atlas system is not in a good state and would likely be better to have a defined, set atlas. The reasons are as follows:
1. Delve already provides infinite gameplay, just include that system into PoE2.
2. The generation of map connections and biomes isn’t working well. A handcrafted atlas could be shaped like a real continent, adding more immersion in the game world and enabling interesting biomes and map clusters.
3. The current system forces players to run map layouts that are undesired. Having a set atlas would allow players to pick their favorite layouts to run.
4. Corruption could show up in certain areas after running X maps, like the old elder influence mechanic.
5. Towers could work like the old sextants that add mechanics in an area for a certain number of runs. Chisels were also a useful way to juice maps that is missing.

Agreed it shouldn't be infinite, but simply for the fact that it makes advancing seem worthless since it doesn't matter besides finding citadels.

I think it should be big, but with a possibility of reaching the edge, making you have to go in a different direction/path.
Eh, no?

Making you run "map layouts that are undesired" is intended and not a bug. They don't want you to just endlessly run strand, or spider forest, or whatever.

The problem with the current atlas is that it tries to combine delve mechanics and old atlas mechanics in the most incompatible ways. Which results in you having to juice your atlas and your waystones but at the same time you have to run layouts you don't want to run, so you run them unjuiced which of course feels like wasted time.

They should just focus on making it more like delve and less like atlas. Get rid of waystones, make risk/reward increase with distance, change towers to remove the "find 4+ towers close by, block bad layouts by failing them, then put tablets in and strip farm the area".

That said the old system was incredibly bad and i actually like the new one more.
