Unique Relics (peacemaker's drought)

Why does this exist? what possible reason would this be in the game as a pinnacle reward? you have no defenses but zarokh drops a barya. I just did one in hopes that maybe you get a special barya like how corrupted ultimatums exist but no it is just a plain barya that i currently have a full tab of. I feel like i never see anyone talking about pointless uniques other than people wanting them to be stronger but this is quite literally the most pointless item in any game ever. Dark souls 1 pendant has more use than this item.
