Solution to Endgame Boredom
Hi, currently lvl 94 player on my way to 95, i feel like the game became repetitive and boring without any real rewards for playing, so i thought i will share an idea that would def make the endgame experience far better.
first of all reduce exp lost to 3% instead of 10% upon death. second make it so you can have infinite levels above 100, just like the paragon system in diablo, obviously ur game is better than diablo for me but they also have some cool features like the paragon system, just make it so each level above 100 will be hard to gain as if you go from 92 to 93, but add 1% of all stat increase per each level above 100, which will motivate players to get as high as possible and its gonna take long grind obviously but it wont be as hard as getting to 100, then add survival mode with different map types with more exp and rewards, basically like a trial where u enter a room and monsters spawn and u have the time limit to survive, just without any time limit and the monsters will increase overtime, the higher ur score the more rewards and make hall of fame top 100 for the survival mode so people can have a goal on that aspect. this can buy a lot of time until u release the full game, once the full game is released i hope u will add content all the time and more acts, if u can do that ur game will live for many years, i also advice to increase the base stash tabs capacity, its way too small not gonna lie, i had to buy many of them just to enjoy the game, but there are far better ways to make money than stashtabs. the stash store can make people depressed and not everyone is rich. " Imho, if game requires rewards for playing, it is already a fail. They need to make gameplay more interesting, that matters way more than some rewards. |

sorry, but I really hope they never add that to this game.
Infinity levels were TERRIBLE for diablo 3 and this kind of infinity layout of dungeon only worse the difference between builds. for me its a HUGE no. Zuletzt bearbeitet von alonso_rettore#6977 um 02.02.2025, 23:46:45

" agreed, then when you add punishments on top of that it just makes it worse. |

" Punishment makes decisions matter more, so I don't know what you are agree with. You are probably PoE 1 player? Zuletzt bearbeitet von Suchka_777#4336 um 02.02.2025, 23:58:23

" you said "they need to make gameplay more interesting, that matters more than rewards" i agree. then when gameplay is not interesting, punishments feel really bad even if they are needed. that said poe2 has too many punishments and it doesnt need all of them/ some need to be toned down. also while it's not relevant to the discussion at all, i play many arpg's not just one. Just go play something else. Watch a movie, read a book. Do something while waiting for a patch.

" I just don't see connection here. But whatever, doesn't really matter. For my taste, current punishments are fine. When there is something on the stake, even quite poor gameplay becomes a bit more meaningful. Zuletzt bearbeitet von Suchka_777#4336 um 03.02.2025, 01:02:21

Thanks for the suggestion. To be honest, I disagree with paragon levels, as well. However, I do agree that maybe we can remove the exp penalty. You know, HC players effectively don't have exp penalty, right? I don't think exp penalty is an elegant solution. It's just the best solution that was possible in PoE1 SC. In PoE2 SC, you have other more elegant penalties, I think, so I would be happy for the exp penalty to be removed from PoE2.
