my feelings / feedback? : To Hades with GGG.. I quit untill a decent upgrade..

poe supporter playing SSF at 536h.. and the game stopped being fun a while ago...


too high is the weight of "proximity tangency" and "regenerate".. to often two rares spawn together, sometimes 3 in tandem.. to rare is a drop of either chaos tokens.. to frustrating the death equals "lose everything in the map" that reaching endgame is completely another game from the campaign and is infuriaringly frustating to play...

the campaign is amazing, the game as it is is awesome, but enter endgame and is a frustating giant turd... I got enough of it as it is.

I play SSF.. got 3 builds to endgame to see what works best, monk, sorcery and merc.. so far, merc works best for me.. alas,the endgame experience is a full 180 from the campaign and completely unfun..

- get into a map and find a large rare with extra shield, magma barrier, lightning and regen... over 40 mins in battle to get half hp and "die" to a random disconect...

- get a rare barya only to at 2nd floor find two of the urn risen monk casters with "proximity tangency" and haste.. at a chalice room...

- try mapping and half the times I stumble uppon two rares in tantem with their minions, I end up dead.. sometimes its 3 rares and posse...


if their aim is for new players and casuals.. its not a "matter of skill"... its a turd of a drop rate for "high currency" and trial tokens.. and terrible RNG tables for rares, where some very strong traits have hight weight of happening.. (while mapping got 3, yes, 3 "spawn lightning" or "lightning blasts" along with "extra shield + magma barrier and regen" rares) some of those strong traits need a rebalance on weight chances..


..I got tired of this... too rare is a trial token chance to drop.. I have no hope to reach the end if the chances of a bad RNG along the ay is much higher then getting a new token to try again.. too often on triel and map I stumble on a bad RNG trait combo on a buffed up rare (4-6 traits).. and with the turd punishment on failing a map and missing on delirium, ritual, expedition.. I've had enough frustrations.. Im out.


Im out untill GGG updates and fixes some of these issues.. mainly, the endgame punishment.. seccondly, drop rates of their rare currency and triel tokens.

Some of this i agree with, some of it confuses me.

By trial token, do you mean inscribed ultimatums? If so, on your atlas passive tree, if you spec into Local knowledge, you'll be swimming in them(literally, i filled an entire stash with them and started not picking them up)

As for the rares, yeah, having 2-3 spawn in hyper close proximity has killed me a few times, and some of the combinations are down right unfair to certain builds, ie; my ice strike monk running into temporal bubble, all hits chill, and periodically unleashes ice explosions, reduced my attack and movement speed to basically 0.

However, if you've specced into the bottom left node that gives rares 1-2 extra modifiers, you can always turn that off to make them a little easier, i had to do it at one stage while i got a few more upgrades.

Lastly, it sounds like your builds might need to be tweaked, iv'e come across some pretty BS rares with insane modifiers, never runs into any fight thats taken more than a minute, even with regen, evasive and temporal bubble, so it might pay to perhaps expand on your build and tweak it a little(i am also SSF, 3 chars, witch sorc and monk, and never ran into any of these issues youre having to this degree)
was running T4s.. not enough points to play with the atlas tree..

and yes, both ultimatums and baryas tokens.. them being one-shot with the game rich with many disconects and crashes, and only finding a token or two to try getting the 3rd ascention is frustrating.

the build that best works to me, so far, was the merc, witchhunter.. gas to eat armor and big-boom, big sky hammer for large damage (with multiple aftershocks).. extra bolts on pockets to adjust if possible, fire, frost, big plasma railgun, explosions, chesy ice barrier.. alas, them rares jumping on you leaves little to no room to adjust on the fly (not all maps have doors, or corridors to see said rare before engaging)..

It would be nice if the rare icons on the minimap was active from the start.. its the main reason you went there.. to hunt rares..


..and yes, I could try and hunt for new equips to upgrade.. but I got tired of trying and having bad RNG end my fun.. or a crash end my fun.. from what I see, GGG made two games and packaged as one, the first is awesome, the latter is infuriating.. right now, it seems more fun to drop poe2 until it updates.. and hope they fix their endgame.
