XP loss in atlas end game - Needs changed

Ok I can see 'punishment' in some cases but going from full health and full resists after everything is done, portal back to empty bags, then entering back onto the map to PICK UP ITEMS then instantly dying... to nothing is not fine. I have CI + all resists 75, 3700 mana as life, insta killed by a cactus?? XP LOSS for no reason. Guess according to the developer 'I should not be there'. 0 mobs on the map, dead, xp poof. Hours of work gone to... nothing? T15 map. No mods. Basic.

OTK by mobs at max range, not cool either.

IF you get OTK by anything 100-0 you should have no xp loss at all. There is NO WAY to avoid this, no skill check, no mechanic check. IF you think a gear check means 100% of everything at max then dying you need to leave the development team.

Endgame should be not be elite of the elite of the elite elite. If you want to make a endgame like that, cool. Put it after level 100 is achieved and your gear 'quality' level hits a 'check' that allows you to keep going. That is .01% of your players.

You want my money and to continued support? Get rid of XP loss. This is an antiquated mechanic from the Everquest days of old when you could at least rez and get it back. Omens to prevent 75% are so rare and are not easily available.

IF XP was faster gained, sure. BUT at this rate you got people running maps so slowly to 'prevent' insta death just to 'level' is quite... stupid mechanics.

If you told me hey there is this game you 'could' randomly get one shot and lose hours of work not attributing to your fault would you play it? NO.

Other things are fine in the system but if I wanted to play everquest again I would go boot that relic up from circa 2000 and play it.

I can see having one shot at a boss but in the case of the sekky trial where you go through what? 26 or 28 rooms to face the final boss... you should at least have a way to get back IF you fail once or twice via portals. Being unable to do so just makes the sekky trials very, unlikable from a players perspective.

If you also have loot drop, then die, say currency should auto be put into your bag. Or at least be able to click on it on screen where you died to collect it. Not too long ago someone died and a mirror was on screen... yeah, drop rate is abysmal already on mirror but to have that kind of disappointment... you beat the boss you get the loot. Its not you beat the boss then wait out 15 seconds of random aoe stuff still around to live... boss dies, all damage ENDS player wins. Your current situation is player is allowed to die at any time for any reason even if coding is bad, and its sorry your loss. I bet that dude was quite angry.

Portals on maps going in once and dying is fine and not able to come back but if you are in a party... let them rez you if you do die. At least this does not create party friction among players like oh you LET ME DIE to get that loot that the boss dropped.... cause there is no way to get that LOOT. Fastest way to disband a party and lose player groupings!

Fix the xp loss to 0. You want to grow POE2? This is the key. I yet to find any player who is 'fine' with it. Your customer base wants this change.

Not true. Many players are OK with XP penalty. Many players also understand that it's necessary. In my humble opinion only a small percetage of all PoE 2 players still did not accept the fact that XP penalty is a core mechanic of the game and therefore cannot be removed.

If you don't get past 90 sure, it's ok. But if you want to push for max level it's unnecessarily punishing. Dying at lvl 95 means losing several hours of grind. They should at least lower the xp% you lose at that level.

buy some omen then. you already have the choice to reduce xp loss to 2,5%

^this^ its a simple solution, add it after level 100, that way, the players who are dedicated to the game dont have to spend over 600 hours leveling one character and the no lifers can no life to their hearts content and brag about how much time they have to play the game.

the vast majority of people dont like exp loss it should be removed or adjusted.
