Dear Devs & Players Alike please Read this
Dear Path of Exile 2 Development Team,
I am writing to express my concerns about the current cross-platform monetization system in your game. As a player who has already supported and purchased early access content on one platform, I propose a more consumer-friendly approach: implementing a proof of purchase system across all platforms (Steam, PS5, Xbox, etc.) to enable players to enjoy cross-play and cross-save mechanics without requiring repurchases. Requiring duplicate early access package purchases for separate platform access seems illogical, as the primary benefit—game access—is already covered. Aesthetic items, particularly those included in early access packs, along with microtransaction currency, are already shared across game platforms for customers who have purchased early access packs. Thus, compelling consumers to repurchase content is unfriendly and, in my opinion, comes off as questionable. A potential solution would be to offer bonus rewards for customers purchasing the same early access tier packs across multiple platforms. This approach would maintain some justification for charging customers again while ensuring they feel valued and compensated for their continued support. (Please note that such a change would require a patch update to compensate all existing buyers of multiple early access packs. Additionally, this modification could potentially encourage customers to buy on multiple platforms to access different platform-exclusive skins for their characters.) The current monetization system would benefit from revisions to create a fairer and more positive experience for customers. I acknowledge the game's financial success since its early access release. However, I encourage you to prioritize long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty by adjusting the cross-platform monetization system. This change can strengthen your relationship with the player base and uphold a positive reputation within the gaming community. Thank you for considering my feedback. I am confident in Path of Exile 2's potential and hope to see improvements in this area, ultimately enhancing the gaming experience for all players. Do any other studios offer this?
I wouldn't since it requires quite a bit of effort to develop a game to work on both |

" I don't know what platform you are using, but I think it should be PS4 or XBOX. If data archives can be shared across platforms, then items can be traded across platforms As a PC client player, I suggest you put away the dangerous idea of cross-platform trading. PC is full of inflationary products of RMT studios using AI scripts. If you trade across platforms, all players will suffer together. The way of using AI scripts on the host side is more cumbersome and complicated, and there are relatively fewer AI scripts. Considering the cost, the studio generally does not buy PS4 and other hosts as a profit tool, so even if there is a cross-platform trade, I suggest that it is only between XBOX and PS4. At least it can protect PS4 and XBOX players from encountering my situation. Now I have given up trading for better equipment, because now I want to buy the equipment I have, I don't know how long it will take to buy it. I guess the S1 season will be launched when I can afford it. Zuletzt bearbeitet von ki784340143#8116 um 02.02.2025, 14:55:35
