Early Access Bug Reports - NONE of the AoE support gems do what the say (details inside) - Forum

ALL the AoE support gems are not granting the shown effect: Expanse: Supposed to give +50% More AoE, gives 22%... Magnified: Supposed to give +40% More AoE, gives 18%... Concentrated: Supposed to give -50% Less AoE, gives -30%... Spell Cascade: Supposed to give -20% Less AoE, gives -13%... Completely breaks any builds that would utilize reduced AoE and also just... plain broken for all the rest. Feels rly bad. I love u GGG but who made those gems? The intern??? The do what they say: they increase the area, not the radius. A = πr² PoE1 used to have "increased radius", but that was changed way back in patch 2.6: " In this update, we are removing the concept of "Increased Radius of Area Skills" and replacing it with "Increased Area of Effect" for all skills, items and passives. The broad impact of this change is that early increases to area of effect will be significant and impactful, while every subsequent point will be less and less noticeable. Previously, each point spent towards increasing the radius of area skills was better than the last, making accumulation of the stat far too desirable.
