We really need a "what killed me?" log message.

Especially with how often the game puts us in "can't see stuff" land, with how there are layers upon layers of death penalties, and how often the deaths amount to essentially one-shots from a random enemy among a horde of mobs, I think it is only fair to actually tell us what enemy killed us with what attack.

It's like debugging. We can't give feedback on the problem if we don't even know what the problem is.

I did a similar thread and i totally agree with you. Lack of transparency on what actually killed us does not result in a constructive growth

I have no idea what just happened, or how. One second I was perfect, the next I was completely dead without warning or explanation.

Based on my calculations, whatever killed me had to do approximately 14,000 damage in less than half a second.

Not even a rare on screen.

What even happened.
