Unable to interact with relic altar

I traded with someone who was at entry of Trial of the Sekhemas. Since then, I am unable to interact with the relic altar in any way.

I've tried logging out for an hour, switching regions, walking out of the instance. Since the patch we are unable to make new instances of the entry zone so it seems that I cannot fix the issue.

Update: I am able to see the person i traded within the instance and see them running into the trial without being in party with them.
