HOTKEY BUG: "L Alt + W" somehow activates ability on "C" (SOLVED)

While testing my loot filter by holding L ALT and running around, I noticed an unusual interaction. The ability Perfect Strike (bound to the C key) activates when I press L ALT + W.

I'm not sure why this happens, but it's reproducible—it occurs every time I try it.

Details

- I do not use nor have any macro software running that may cause the issue.
- If I bind the same skill bar slot to another key L ALT + W, everything works as expected.
- If I use R ALT + W, everything works as expected.
- If I assign a different ability to the skill bar slot tied to C that ability activates instead
- I have several language packs installed on my windows machine. Some programs don't play nicely with them, however no matter which one I've got selected, the game still thinks L ALT + W = C.

There's another user with a similar issue, though their issue was with W instead of LAlt+W. They don't seem to have narrowed down the source of the issue either.

It's not something that I can replicate, so I don't think it's an issue with PoE2 itself.

They did mention installing a companion tool called Sidekick, which would press Ctrl+C when you enter certain keybindsone of which is Alt+W to open the wiki page for the hovered items. Ctrl+C is something built into the game to copy the item's information to your clipboard, which Sidekick (or other tools) can use to identify the item.

The other user stated that they still had the issue after uninstalling Sidekick, but maybe this information could is helpful?

Hi, thanks for your reply!

That's good to know, I do occasionally use sidekick but don't have it turned on always. I'll test it tonight.
Update:

It's indeed Sidekick.
