Trial of the Sekhemas: Bugged Affliction "Winter Drought"

I just ran into a bug with the "Winter Drought" affliction in Trial of the Sekhemas. Winter Drought states that you will "Lose all Sacred Water on floor completion." but instead of wiping your Sacred Water upon moving onto the next floor, its wiped immediately upon defeating the boss of your CURRENT floor, preventing you from being able spend any of it at the shop.

Not sure if this bug is exclusive to the 4 floor trials only? As "Winter Drought" did not function this way during my 3 floor trial attempts and instead gave me a chance to spend my Sacred Water before moving onto the next floor.

Did the affliction continue to remove sacred water for the next boss as well? I just had this bug happen and it pissed me off cuz I had accumulated more sacred water than I have ever had by the end of the first trial, but since I chose winter drought on the first floor I did it took all of it after completing all the floors and killing the boss. I thought I don't have any sacred water so why not choose this since it says on floor completion I thought it's after I do that trial, or maybe that's how it's meant to be? I still have it after killing the boss though and I have a chance to remove it and gain a random affliction, so I don't know what to do...
