Can we have a better way to get skill gems during the campaign?
As the title really, finding it difficult to try different skills a lot of the time because uncut skill gems drop so rarely during the campaign. And uncut spirit gems even less so. Seems to be fixed in maps, it's just in the campaign where it's the worse.
Maybe let the wand/potion seller in town sell one of each uncut gem type for the level appropriate to your character each time you level up? Zuletzt angestoßen am 11.02.2025, 12:47:36

There’s plenty in the campaign you just need to do the zone over again.
Reason you think it shows up in maps so much is because there are more rare enemies, and you repeat the same level map at least 10 times before moving up in tier |

" Funny that you have to explain this to someone with 36 challenges in 3.25, lvl 100 characters, that clearly should understand what you said, without you saying it |

" Even doing earlier zones over and over again, it was maybe 1 in 5 full clears where I got an uncut spirit gem? I have more level 10 uncut gems than I know what to do with. It's the ones from level 4-9 that feel really out of sync with the rest. And these are the levels where you're really wanting to play around with new gems, adding and taking them out of the build to see what works and what doesn't. |

IMO the current skill gem system sucks. Crazy that it's possible to reach lvl 100 literally without seeing a single lvl 20 gem because of where they drop.
Also, crazy that you can be lvl 90 running T16+ maps and are forced to spend 10+ minutes farming for a low level skill gem in campaign maps because of stat requirements. Once you finish a Doryani quest, it should unlock uncut skill gems on a vendor for the highest "common" level that could have dropped in the tier you just completed. So that by the time you finish the last quest (T15 maps), you'll have unlocked uncut gems from lvl 1 all the way to lvl 18 to be bought at a vendor. This way we could also completely hide lower level gems on our filters and only keep lvl 19 and 20 in the endgame maps. About your issue: Generally, the campaign doesn't require you to vastly improve your skill gems. Improving gear, specially your weapon, plays a much bigger part of your progression. Set up your filter properly and just keep moving forward. You'll eventually drop some uncut gems and sometimes even upgrade 2+ levels at once. Zuletzt bearbeitet von _rt_#4636 um 10.02.2025, 13:29:14

" I'm more talking about the skills you want to try, or play around with. If you use one of those elusive uncut skill gems to play around with a skill, and don't like it, then it's major feels bad. Whereas if the vendors sold the previous level of gems, you could at least try new skills out a lot more. |
