Please fix the PC hard freezes from 100% CPU usage on POE2...

GGG, I know you're aware of this - it really needs to be patched.

During loading screens (especially Ziggurat Encampment), the game will lock up and sometimes hard freeze utilizing 100% CPU and we cannot even ctrl + alt + del to end the program. You have to hard power off your PC.

To manage this, users are downloading CPU limiter software such as 'Process Lasso' or 'BES' and also using Task Manager to 'Set Affinity' and uncheck a few CPU cores to avoid Path of Exile 2 from using this. The game still freezes, but with the limiter software or affinity, you can ctrl + alt + del to end the game.

And, in order to activate these softwares or affinity, the game has to be open. Today, I opened the game and it hard froze before I even got to the server login screen. Before I could activate any softwares. It is extremely frustrating.

Other notes:
- Some people say it is Windows 11, certain patches.
- Some people say it is impacted by Steam overlay (messaging/shift+tab)

It crashed 3 times today just opening the game, before getting to the server log in screen. I decided to stop playing until it's patched, for my PC's sake...

Literally same exact thing is happening to me. I have a pretty nice rig I94900k and a 4090 and the game is literally unplayable for me at the moment. Crashes nonstop now I can barely even play as soon as I pick a character to load into the game crashes. Thankfully it’s just the game for me as I’m seeing other peoples whole pc brick and freezes but still this sucks

it is NOT a windows issue
it is NOT a driver issue
it is NOT a pc issue.

the issue lies within the game, i was crashing on win 10, pc force updated to win 11, still crashing.

the issue was in poe1 for years, yes less frequent, but it WAS there.
they were silent on the issue for years then outside the occasional "we know, we're working on it thanks for your patience" basic bullshit excuse they all give.

GGG just repeating the past at this point.

you fuckers made enough money from this game AND poe1.
you can dedicate more than the few people you've got working on this i'm sure.

if not, HIRE someone who fucking can. you're nearing 2 months of this plaguing the game since day ONE.

ineptitude is only excusable for so long, and the excuses are running out very quickly.
