BUG: Called Shot & Voltaic Mark
Just got my Ranger ascended night before last and assigned her first two ascendency points today taking "Called Shots."
Prior to taking called shots I had noticed I could not move or apply Voltaic Mark to a new target until it timed out or the original target was removed from the field of play. Now that I have called shots recasting moves the mark to the new target immediately, it does not, however, leave it on the old target. I tested several times to see if the mark is just not visible on the old target but no nova on death seems to be definitive. I have also tried exiting the POE2 executable to Windows and relaunching the game. This did not help. My Ranger does not yet have any other marks to test with and really with her currant build no other marks would serve as well. If Called Shot works differently than I am expecting, for example it only applies to two separate marks, not two of the same, please update the description and tool tip as "You can apply an additional Mark" looks pretty clear. I also get there are a whole lot of descriptions and tool tips and minor spelling, grammar and sentence structure problems are expected. Thank you again for the enjoyable game, *EB* **Asus TUF x670E Gaming, 7950x3d, AIO Corsair H150i Elite, TridentZ 192GB DDR5 6400, Sapphire 7900XTX, All Samsung 4k: 56"<->Arc2 55"<->48", NVME Sabrent Rocket 2TB, MP600 Pro 8tb, MP700 2 TB. Gentle Bump to advise this is still an issue.

Bump as it is insane that this doesn't work. Voltaic Mark is the main Mark skill that a Ranger would use, and the Called Shot keystone passive ascendancy doesn't even work with it?
This means they didn't even test the keystone passive ascendancy points, because if they had done any testing they would have quickly realised that it doesn't work. Really disappointing. There are only 8 keystone ascendancy passives for Deadeye and they couldn't even be bothered to test them. Zuletzt bearbeitet von XenoX101#5699 um 27.01.2025, 02:15:36

My guess is that it did work at some point and only broke with one of the more recent patches.
Then again, I dont know that for sure. I also wondered if I was the only one who took that first or at all. I do agree it is a core skill and not having two does hurt (or rather doesnt hurt my foes in battle) I also wonder if it works for some and not others, I suppose I could try changing out my Bow and Quiver etc. **Asus TUF x670E Gaming, 7950x3d, AIO Corsair H150i Elite, TridentZ 192GB DDR5 6400, Sapphire 7900XTX, All Samsung 4k: 56"<->Arc2 55"<->48", NVME Sabrent Rocket 2TB, MP600 Pro 8tb, MP700 2 TB. Hey guys, just to clarify.
Each mark has a limit of 1. If you support socket Overabundance, then you can mark 2 targets at a time. Without the Ascendency. The Ascendency specifically lets you oput two different marks on the same target. Not a bug. |

" Thank you, I would disagree, though the bug may only be that the tool tip needs to be updated and made much more clear. "You can apply an additional mark" Can be read many ways. I get getting the game out meant going quick and early access makes for some rough edges. I'm not frothing at the mouth or even minorly worked up. Limitations should be specified if they exist. **Asus TUF x670E Gaming, 7950x3d, AIO Corsair H150i Elite, TridentZ 192GB DDR5 6400, Sapphire 7900XTX, All Samsung 4k: 56"<->Arc2 55"<->48", NVME Sabrent Rocket 2TB, MP600 Pro 8tb, MP700 2 TB.
