Trial of Chaos - Temple offering is Bugged - Door wont close

The door to the trials wont close and I cannot insert a new Inscribed Ultimatum to retry the trials.

If i try to enter the door it says the area is no longer available (I have died in the trial). I have restarted the game and changed servers but it is still open.

Usually you can choose close, but if it's not an option. Just walk over and zone to the next area (Chimeral Wetlands), (don't use waypoint) then turn around and long press to go back in and start a new instance.

Although not a FIX, it saves a lot of time

I am also having the same bug. Going to chimeral wetlands does not change anything.

Temple offering window only has button for "Open" and not "close". Removing the ultimatum doesn't do anything. Clicking the "open" button gives the message "this operation could not be completed" while clicking the door to the trial says "cannot connect to instance. That subarea no longer exists".

did you long press and start a NEW instance of trial of chaos? This would ensure it's closed. not just going to chimeral wetlands and back. but actually forcing a new instance of the trial.

That didn't work, unfortunately, but I found that after removing the offering from the statue, then resetting the instance manually like you mentioned, it eventually worked.

I logged off and on and reset the instance several times while I was trying different things and I'm not sure if any of that effected it, but it definitely didn't work until I removed the ultimatum offering from the statue.

I moved to the portal without getting my points and got the same issue, but i don't have an ultimatom installed, and moving to the chemical lands didn't help.
What else can I do?

Same issue here, failed my test went back to statue now the door is stuck open. Tried troubleshooting mentioned above to no avail

If you leave the trial going to Chimeral area and CTRL + Left click the Trial area you can create a new instance and it will fix the bug.

EDIT:

This will restart everything. So be careful. This is how to farm maps, but it works.
1: Go to the waypoint
2: CTRL+left click on the waypoint for the Trials Of Chaos.
3: Restart the map
4: Go and destroy :)

But it did not work for me...

The workaround is not working for me, just so if people keep trying and is wondering what is wrong.

I found a way. You have to respawn at checkpoint to close the gate.
