Game breaking bug on Poe 2 - Infernalist Gem Socketing

This has happened in two different Infernalist characters already. With the first one, I socketed meat shield support on Hellhound and just as I did, the FPS slowed to a crawl while the socketing sound repeated non stop and the CPU usage shot up. Since this happened, everytime I socket or unsocket a gem, this happened, breaking the characters. I made a new Infernalist, and It happened again às I was around lvl 60, this time while socketing something into Incinerate.
