PoE 2 - NO map connections

I have a citadel... but don't have any connections to go there

the picture is not loading i don't know why

I have started to get this. I found my second stone citadel and there is no path to the other stone citadel. I have travelled multiple screens left, right and down right but there are 2 long lines joined at a right angle where maps don't have any connections. Some maps are even completely isolated on their own with no connection to them. Im hoping this isn't the beginning of the end of my mapping experience.
We need something that allows us to bridge small gaps between maps where no connections appear if they cant fix this. Something like a waystone where you have to complete the map you can reach, which when completed will allow you to complete a nearby map and form a connection between them.
