About the nVidia GPU crash bug (no crash on Linux so far)

I had this annoying bug that crashes the game when playing under Windows 11 (EGS Laucher) and I had to disable Engine Multithreading in order to avoid those crashes.

However, my PC happens to have Linux Mint as well, so I installed PoE2 via Steam on Linux today and it worked perfectly fine without any crashes for the ~8 hours I played. So problem seems to be with the Windows drivers only.

My GPU is a nVidia RTX 2070 Super. Hope that helps.

I have the same GPU and was crashing horrifically, hourly for 2 months.
for me it was on 24h2, im back on 24h2 and still does but its much less, gpu scheduling seems to be the issue, i have it off for other reasons normally, but ive left it on atm and its rare to crash now. when i turn it off i crash.

additional, i cant see that GGG are aware but.
Nvidia current driver doesn't realise poe2 is poe2, it thinks its poe 1. it has the executable for poe2 in the poe1.

I can see this via Nvidia profiler tool, removing the exe's from poe1 and adding them to 2 manually has resulted in improvements and yet to see a crash under these circumstances. so no idea if GGG know about this one. can't find anything in here about this weird thing.

also lets goo 2070 super (why do these have to be quiet good its so hard to justify buying 3,4 or 5 series cards with these lol)
My nvidia app has assumed it's poe2 the entire time, so i'm not sure what you're referring to.

Also i have had GPU scheduling on the entire time, and have had awful amounts of crashing with multithreading on. so That isn't the full issue either

Maybe you can clarify what you're referring to as the "nvidia driver"

Do you mean nvidia control panel? Do you mean the nvidia app? Do you mean geforce experience? i have been in I.T. and gaming for 15 years, I have never heard of the "Nvidia Profiler Tool"

Do you have resizable bar enabled?

Also i'm pretty sure it crashes on AMD video cards too.

Nvidia Ap sees it, but the driver does not actually use it, Nvidia Profiler reads the driver.

this guy here shows it pretty well, the nvid ap is awful.

2070 Super don't use resizable bar, less you be modding the vbios.
