Gas Arrow Bug!!!!

I use gas arrow with: Support gems:(concentrated effect .comorbidity .deadly poison Brutality) and the cloud from the gas arrow do 0 damage . Yesterday it's worked but now i can't do anything with it . (direct hit with gas arrow do a small damage) but i lost my damage . Full physical build with only phys damage from bow. i changed nothing from last time i played. find out the problem is the brutality skill gem if i remove it now working , but it's worked yesterday with it, and now 1 day after i do no damage pls fix it!! Thanks

If it worked before, it was probably a bug.

Linking Brutality support should prevent the skill's poison clouds from doing any poison damage (which is chaos damage over time).

Gas arrow targets the ground and does not normally hit enemies, so they don't take phys damage from a hit, either.

If you detonate the gas clouds, their damage is converted to Fire, which is also nullified by Brutality as the skill cannot do elemental damage, either.

I don't think this is correct. It doesn't deal chaos damage over time itself, but it applies poison. The Poison Cloud part of the skill says "does not hit, but Poisons enemies as though hitting them". Poison is based off of both physical and chaos damage from the hit.
I'll agree that poison as an ailment may scale differently than in POE 1. The fact that it describes the explosion scaling as converting only the phys damage from the "hit" may also not help with potential confusion.

It is also a cloud poisoning the enemy, likely as a secondary effect, but the poison cloud is still part of the Gas Arrow skill and it makes sense to me that it would be affected by the Brutality support. Admittedly you have exceptions in POE 1 where, for e.g., projectile or damage modifiers don't apply to secondary damage (Flame Wall - Spell Cascade even avoids a generic less damage modifier).

The game defines Poison's damage as chaos damage over time, where the magnitude of a stack of poison is derived from the physical and chaos damage of the hit causing (or leading to) the poison. All of the poison damage would be chaos damage, regardless of whether or not the base hit damage was physical or chaos. This is expected to become zero damage using Brutality. We're talking about the main damaging ability of the skill.

Further, Gas arrow is a Chaos skill whose only reference to chaos is the fact that it poisons enemies.

To suggest that the skill only applies a poison, but does not do chaos damage itself might seem to open up using Brutality on all other skills directly applying poison.

The in-game help for Poison does state the following:
"
any such Modifiers (and Debuffs) that specifically apply to Hit damage do not affect poison damage.

While that may sound like a possible out, the modifiers on Brutality support are general and apply to damage from all sources related to the linked skill.

I do not claim to be an expert on POE mechanics, but it seems entirely warranted to me that Brutality would prevent related poisons doing damage as I'd expect it to in POE 1. Brutality is supporting the skill and affecting its most direct damage source.
