Account issue accessing Early Access
Hi all,
I got an Early Access key for Path of Exile 2 and proceeded to redeem it with my account. Being an old account, i forgot it existed (and that it was linked to my Steam account). So i made a new account (somehow on the same e-mail address), redeemed the key and when trying to link the Steam account, you guessed it, i got an error message. Luckily the folks at Grinding Gear Games have made it possible to link Accounts. So i did. And it worked...for a while. Today, 6th of January, a minor patch (about 1,5 Mb) was pushed and i have started getting the following message: "Your account does not have access to Path of Exile 2 Early Access. Redeem an Early Access key on our website or purchase access now." I've tried re-linking the accounts, switching accounts on this very page when logging into the game, relogging, everything i could think of account related. Has anyone encountered this very particular problem? If so, how have you dealt with it? Much appreciated, Thaum Zuletzt angestoßen am 16.01.2025, 00:56:28

Bump. Dealing with something very similar.
This PoE account I am posting on forum with uses an email, same email as my CURRENT steam account. I had an older steam account, like 13+ years old, linked to this account and I didn't know. I've been playing standalone for a while with no issues. But on this specific computer, I dont have Admin rights, but I do have steam on it so I thought to try it out. Downloaded the game, tried to link to my (new) steam account - it didn't work, I'm assuming because my PoE account is already linked to an old, defunct steam account. Then I used the other option, to create a new poe account, and it says I don't have access to the game, even though I redeemed the key via steam. I emailed support and asked them to remove the old link, I did that last night, about 12 hours ago. No Response yet. |

I also have a similiar issue. I accidentally applied my early access key to an alternate steam account than the one I have registered on the website. I am downloading the standalone launcher now, and by all rights, should have no problems with it. We'll see once it's done installing whether my key will work on it, but there really should be a recourse for making this mistake other than posting on the forums and hoping for a fix sometime two or more weeks down the road.
(2nd Edit) Also, possibly they could make it possible to have some sort of sharing available, with a login properly being implemented to use your email instead of your steam ID on the steam launcher. That's a definite fix that would be easy to implement (one imagines) and would be effective for a bunch of other login issues that bring insubstantial demons into my logic. I can't think of any offhand, but I'm sure they exist or will exist in the future. Zuletzt bearbeitet von habenero678#1497 um 16.01.2025, 01:04:19
