POE 2 is unplayable - causes PC to reset

Hi,

When I try to start up POE 2, my entire PC resets.
This happens after I select my character and press play.
It goes into the loading screen and then the reset happens.

I cannot play the game.

I'm having the same issue, and from my understanding it may have to do with the Windows 11 24H2 update and CPU threading.

One thing that I've done to help is download something to permanently change your affinities. I used Process Lasso since it's free. Windows uses CPUs 0 and 1, so when your game crashes, it locks those affinities. If you turn those two off, only the game will freeze and not your whole system.

If you don't want to download a 3rd party program, open up Windows task manager, go to Details on the left side, and choose the PoE running process. Right click, set affinity, and turn off CPUs 0 and 1. The downside to doing it this way is that you have to do it every time you start the game. Process Lasso makes the change permanent until you change it again.

It's not a fix, but at least your whole PC won't freeze.
