Warrior Ancestral Warrior Totem cannot benefit from almost all Totem Passive Nodes
As title.
It has to use a Mace skill, which have hard-capped wind-up times. It cannot benefit from %attack speed, %spell damage. There are no +duration Totem nodes [EDIT: there is ONE of 30%. SORRY!] meaning your Totem gets off approximately two attacks before vanishing naturally (why does this skill even HAVE a duration lower than 30 seconds?). Ancestral Totems have no tracking, (aka the "snipe the dodge roll" God Mode Bosses enjoy) meaning mobs are nowhere near the location of skills once they eventually fire. Ancestral Totems have a base attack speed, damage of a small lettuce. Warriors get an entire prong of their Ascendency dedicated to these hard working but utterly useless little cuties. YAY! Oh, and there's a massive exploit of a bazillion damage using an interaction between Ancestral Bond and Watchtowers (and the 100+ speed of placement nodes) and the player ramping their Hammer of the Gods past level 60 (where the damage curve is just broken) but I really cannot be bothered to explain overflows to you guys for the nth time. Hint: Mace Gem Skills count as Attack Skills. The boring versions out there just spam the little totems like a machine gun and stack the 20% health sharing etc. My exploit allows more 1 shot goodness of the Rain of Arrows / Spark variety. Hi, I just spent a lot of gold and ingame resources testing the following out:
Entire tree Spec'd for Totems + Block (minor nodes in other stuff) Two Ancestral totems with all four (4) Ascendency nodes activated Four (4) support Jewels with +totem damage / life on The Ancestral is using (after much testing and discovery that literally all but one other mace skill other than the one in the promo video wasn't working): Sunder (as per video) with Upheaval and Persistence (because, you know, they have a life duration of 8 seconds, great stuff. I am using a full spectrum of synergy based skills - cries to daze, resonating shield to apply the armor break that sunder automatically criticals off (rinse/repeat), +4 skill weapon and my own DPS (admittedly now lower due to all these Totem nodes I've been taking). I am lvl 69 (nice). ...And I can see why Druid wasn't part of the EA package. This setup not only struggles with content eight (8) levels below it, but the Ancestral Spirits must be bugged: they (not just the turtle) are so slow that they cannot actually engage mobs without me standing on top of them, but the damage they do seems... not to happen? As support buffs they do... ? Who knows. This is non-functional content for an entire prong of the Ascendency tree (another one!). Either the base levels of Ancestral Totem are not scaling correctly or the minions aren't inheriting stats (as per the fissure ownership) or a combination thereof. But you know what: I'm going to go play a ranged character and leave you to sort out this mess. ~ Literally testing and finding immediately broken skill gems wasn't impressive. Edit: found one (1) of the culprits. With my setep, Shockwave Totems (no damage support gems slotted) recieve +369% bonus to their slam damage. My Ancestral Totems are getting +265% (no damage support slotted). Why? Who knows. But somewhere in this one totem is getting >100% less bonus damage than the other. I have no idea why. Both are lvl 20 (14 base + 6 skills). Again, I suspect it is because slotted support skills are somewhere not inheriting my character +bonuses, but who knows.
