Zarokh (trial of sekhema 4th floor boss) attacks continues after death

So I killed the boss Zarokh (trial of sekhema 4th floor boss), and while the loot dropped and a while after that, maybe around 10 seconds, he kept going with his "spinning around casting lightning tendrils" attack.
This obviously killed me as I wasn't prepared for his attack to continue after death... See picture.
Added info: I had the unique vase relic "The Desperate Alliance" applied.
Also: I never got a "respawn" prompt. I had to log out and log back in.

just lost my loot and 30 minutes of time to this bug too

I've lost multiply divines worth of drops due to this exact bug. It feels so bad im comtemplating just quiting this damn game and going back to POE1

this BS just happened to me. frozen completely. cant move. and i get two rounds of lightning to the face while the boss is dead.

saw a couple threads for this but might as well reconfirm after the 1/8 patch/hotfix. this is still a thing. only reason i even died is cause of the 5% removed health/mana/es per hit affliction. killed him as he went to do the spinning lightning attack, and got instantly melted despite him dying, attack continued fully.

after dying unable to do anything. forced to return to character select and back and ofc can't go back in.

I confirm that on 22 january, the bug is still there. no respawn prompt either

Got this death today too, 1/27/2025. FFS.

Just lost an against the darkness, a desperate alliance and 10% xp to this bug. I knew about the bug but didn't think I was close enough to get shotgunned to dead by his spinning corpse. Did 6k dmg in a split second.

yup this has existed for awhile. Just FYI you can stand in the corner during spinning freezing bubble attack and not get hit. Everytime I kill him I just afk in there for a minute just incase
