Unable to travel to Trial of the Sekhema, possible soft bricked character

I killed Balbala, she dropped the green quest Barrya.

I picked it up, then I dropped it back onto the ground, since i wasnt going to run it, just get a carry.. and left, went down a long deadend and did a -respawn at checkpoint- resetting the zone, found the exit, left to the halani gates, got the waypoint, and ported back to the caravan.

Tried to travel to the trial of the sekhema, but I couldn't. Figured oh I must need the quest item I guess.. went back to the zone where i killed her, which had not reset layout, went to the room, no barrya, no boss.

Went to the waypoint, created new instance, found her again, killed her, no quest item.

Grabbed a barrya out of my stash, which updated the quest to say ASCENT TO POWER: TRAVEL THE TRAITORS PASSAGE. Still could not travel to Trial, and no new dialogue in town. Killed Balbala again, no quest item, quest doesn't progress.

Joined another players party and helped him kill her for his first time, still no quest item.

Logged out of the character for 30 minutes to let things natural reset, issue persisted.

I potentially have a character that cannot enter/ascend through Trial of the Sekhema.

I dont mind rerolling this early in Act 2, and i'll be doing that tonight but I just thought this was interesting

This is 100% reproducible problem (because the exact same situation happen to me).

I'm at level 85 now, and still cannot access to Trail of Sekhema, at all.

I can get my ascendency points only from Ultimatum.

Sadly this still occurs.
Can we push this thread to hopefully get a speedy fix to this matter?
