Bug Report: Act 3 Rootredge Boss Completion Reward Bug

Description:

After successfully defeating the Rootredge boss in Act 3 multiple times (14 times in total), the completion reward does not appear, and the encounter remains greyed out.
The game does not register the kill as completed, and it is not possible to progress the quest line.
Even after going to the Ziggurat Encampment and speaking with the treasure hunters to attempt continuing the quest, returning to kill the Rootredge boss again did not resolve the issue.

Steps to Reproduce:

Engage and kill the Rootredge boss in Act 3.

Observe that the completion reward does not appear.

Check that the boss encounter remains greyed out and the kill is not registered.

Attempt to progress the quest line by speaking to the treasure hunters in the Ziggurat Encampment.

Return to the Rootredge boss, defeat it again, and observe that the issue persists.


Expected Behavior:

Defeating the Rootredge boss should trigger the completion reward and properly register the encounter as completed, allowing the player to progress the quest line.

Actual Behavior:

No completion reward is granted after defeating the Rootredge boss.

The encounter remains greyed out and does not register as completed.

Quest progression is blocked, making this a game-breaking issue.


Impact:

This bug halts progression of the main quest line in Act 3, creating a frustrating experience for players and rendering further advancement impossible.

Additional Information:

I have killed the boss 14 times to ensure the issue is not user error.

Spoke with relevant NPCs (treasure hunters in Ziggurat Encampment) to attempt progression, but the problem persists.

This issue is severely game-breaking and requires immediate attention.

It seems others have posted on this too. Im not the only one.

I'm having the same Issue. Even tried it with different characters. Still the same.

To my knowledge he isnt even a part of the act 3 questline.. I've legitimately skipped the entirety of that first zone of A3 and went straight to the zigg encampment to finish the campaign without any problem. Have you tried just.. moving on?

Rootdredge doesn't drop any quest items, and isn't essential to the questline. Is it just that the map marker is bugged? You can definitely progress through the campaign after skipping him.

This is a non-issue. Rootdredge does not have a reward for defeating him, and is not essential for the storyline.
