Demon form hell hound

I can't get my hound to activate during demon form. I read a post saying people on PC using controllers were having trouble and that setting it with the mouse, once, fixed it. Can't do that on ps5. Setting it to be active on the second weapon set like the rest of the aura's also doesn't work. Has anyone found a work around?
