Support Gems in Ascendancy skills lost on respecialization

Summary:
Support gems in skills granted by Ascendancy points are lost if the character respecializes and loses access to that skill. In my specific cast I lost an Ingeuity gem slotted into Time Freeze (repro below)

Repro:
1. Unlock the first four Ascendancy points on a Chronomancer
2. Select 'Ultimate Command' from the Ascendancy tree to gain Time Freeze
3. Slot an 'Ingenuity' support gem (or any other gem) into Time Freeze
4. Talk to the Hooded One to respecialize your character
5. Remove the Ascendancy point from 'Footprints in the Sand'
6. Check Stash and Inventory for the Ingenuity support gem.

Results:
The Ingenuity support gem is not in the player's Inventory or Stash.

Expected:
When respecializing a character causes that character to lose access to a skill, any Support Gems in that skill are moved to the Inventory, Stash, or some other location from which they can be recovered.


Side Note:
I have not spent the money to regain access to Temporal Rift to see if the gem is still there. But I can do so upon request if needed.

I respec'd into Time Freeze yesterday and, iirc, the lost Support Gem was not present. This appears to delete the item.

Supports are not super valuable like Skill Gems can be, but it's still worth noting as anything that can delete items like this is a bit concerning.

mine go into my stash for some reason. not in the gems tab but into the actual stash tab that i have first.
