The map loading lag has got to go

I don't care why it's like that, all I know is that the 2-5 seconds of loading lag when I open the map is extremely aggravating. Please change it so it is instantaneous.

i've just switched from controller to keyboard (on PC), and this issue seems to be gone. It's instant when i display the world map. Seems to be an optimization problem for the specific controller interface?
