Uxmal the Beastlord feedback.

The Trails of Chaos boss fight, against Uxmal, needs some addressing.

** SPOILERS ** -- If you are a player, and have not seen this engagement, then understand that I reveal tips and tricks here.

Currently, players can loiter in the boss arena, waiting in corners where Uxmal can't reach, gaining life and mana flask charges if they have the correct affix. This fact allows the challenger to trivialize the event.

The solution, therefore, is to change the dimensions of the arena, or the size of Uxmal, and allow him to follow the player to all corners. At the same time, damage and rate of fire, as well as other impediments, will need to be curtailed.

In the end I'm sure you'll see how best to address this.

Sincerely,

Me.

Not to mention the fight itself. It's just not engaging, it's entire purpose seems to be to make sure you have movement speed to find him before he fills ethe entire space with permanent ground effects.

Playing Chayula monk, I start laying down debuffs, and he gets up and flys off, which cancels DOTs, and gives no indication of which direction to find him in.

I kit for ice strike, but one hit and he flys off, and I spend the entire time just chasing him around until the entire arena is permanent ground effects and I die.

Should at least be some kind of indication of where he went, and a longer timer between fly-offs.

I prefer the bird fight, at least it's a fight.
I'd go so far as to say we're not experiencing the real fight - it can't possibly be working as intended. I just fought Uxmal and every time he flew away, the music stopped because he went so far the game thought combat was over. Hopefully once it's fixed we'll see some interactive mechanics.
Pls do something about it GGG. Chasing this guy up and down the stairs every 5 seconds is so annoying.
My only problem is with his name. He should be renamed to "Where's Uxmal?"

I must have spent 45 minutes trying to fight him, but he had this 5,000 hp energy shield and it's just impossible. All you can so is run out of flask juice and roll over and take a dirt nap.
As a warrior, he flys to random locations that you have to hunt down. While trying to find him he might attach you from off screen (it is off screen due to the elevation difference and not due to range). He has a ground slam the you have to retreat for, a aerial fire breath that you can't target him during, ice breath you have to retreat for, and a poison spray that the design of the arena ensures you have to retreat from, because you can't always get behind him.

So the entire fight is just a test of patience for him to use the couple of attacks you can actually successfully attack him during.

Edit: I forgot to mention how all of the chaos modifiers just makes this worse. Skill speed makes all of the above happen more. Energy shield makes him heal every time you chase him down. Several of the fields effects makes it hard to stand next to him in several locations.

+1

I think GGG's intended approach for this boss must be to come back when you're Level 70 and geared so you one hit the boss or something. (joking)

Funny enough, I actually had the boss Pinned and IT STILL FLEW AWAY. Insane that the boss can actually ignore CC intended to keep it in place.
