Temporal Bubble needs a revision

TL;DR
Bubble is too strong, does too many things, and is hard to counter, especially if you deal damage in melee range. Also, Bubble is not affected by "x% reduced Slowing Potency of Debuffs on You", but it should be.

Context
Aside from Temporal Bubble, all other effects which slow down the Player use the "Slow" mechanic.

The tooltip for Slows indicates that "Slows are modifiers from Debuffs that cause actions to take longer." Generally, these slows affect movespeed or skill speed and can be reduced with sources of "x% reduced Slowing Potency of Debuffs on You".

The tooltip for Temporal Bubble says "You have severely lowered action speed ...". Slows which affect the entire character simply say that they slow you rather than specifying the affected stat.

The fact that Temporal Bubble doesn't use the Slow mechanic, and specifies Action Speed which is not a stat mentioned anywhere else, indicates to me that this rare monster Mod was not updated to use the Slow mechanic.

Key Points
Temporal Bubble has 3 separate and extremely strong effects, which are particularly detrimental to melee builds and any other builds which primarily deal damage at close range
  • The action speed debuff:
    • It is too strong for something that cannot be reduced.
    • It doesn't make sense that it doesn't use the Slow mechanic while all other effects which reduce player speed in some way do
    • Building "x% reduced Slowing Potency of Debuffs on You" feels like a waste when this debuff completely bypasses the Slow mechanic.
    • The cooldown speed debuff:
      • Why does the cooldown speed snapshot to the value while in the bubble?
      • Cooldowns should recover at their normal speed once you leave the bubble.
      • Debuffs expire slower:
        • This one just adds insult to injury.
        • Escaping the bubble while affected by any other Slow, such as Chill, becomes so much harder when that Slow debuff takes ages to go away.
        • The Temporal Bubble effect simply has too many strong negative effects for a single monster mod. Either the magnitude of these effects should be reduced, or they should be split into separate monster mods.

        Side Note
Can someone confirm whether Pathfinders with Slow Immunity are affected by the bubble's slow? Do the anti-slow charms prevent the slow?

        Edit [2024-12-21]
Slow immunity does not affect the bubble's slow.

I worked in Wanderlust in my gear to deal with slows because I had a hard time with slowing effects.
It was either that or go with Pathfinder, but I figured leveling a pathfinder would take a lot more time so I went with giving up my Boots slot.

Sad to find out I still die to temporal bubbles. I mean, I die to a whole lot more (giving up a gear slot didn't exactly help my defenses), but I expected to at least not die to slows anymore.
As an invoker monk lvl 81, tonight I've suffered temporal bubble soooo much.
My damage is high enough to make the fight super short but if for even a little moment, I get staggered and I lose momentum I get boxed and then goodluck starting again the flurry charged staff machine.

Thanks for confirming that. It seems the bubble really is ignoring the entire Slow mechanic and is instead applying a unique "slow" debuff.
I hope it's not intended to ignore passives reducing magnitude of slows, most survivability nodes are already bad enough.

Temporal bubble is particularly unfair on a rare burrower with volatile plants + haste. The only times I have died in t15/16 maps involved these bubbles.
A Black Strider's "Web Slow" also seems to be unaffected.
Neither does Quicksand slow seems to get reduced.

Slow magnitude reductions and immunities seems to not work more often than they do. So far, only temporal chain curse seems to be working properly.

100% agree, it is ridiculous as melee. Really needs to be toned way down.
Developers mentioned in one of the interviews that there are some slowing effects that aren't considered "Slow" by the game engine and that this is by mistake.
Hopefully they won't forget to fix this in next patch.
        Bumping for visibility.
In simulacrum it will often end your run.
