Respec reverting / partial respec

When did this happen:
Around 9:40pm MST 12/10/2024
Class Monk

What Happened:
When trying to do a respec that connected a new legal path to some existing nodes after hitting the confirm respec button only about half of the nodes that I selected to respec did actually respec and as such only about half of the new nodes selected took.

The nodes seeming to have issues were the stat nodes connected to the Quarterstaff Speed node/ the Quarterstaff speed node itself. Because these nodes did not get added correctly it then reverted the nodes needed to connect to the gem node below the Quarterstaff section.

I was able to recreate this a few times and everytime I Selected the 1st or 2nd Quarterstaff Speed nodes as part of the respec it would disconnect the new path i was trying to make.

I eventually put the points in other places and was able to later level normally into those Quarterstaff speed nodes.

This did end up taking some extra money compared to what the 1st attempted respec had shown it would cost.

I also had respec failure on merc when only several nodes took, and in some time (I don't know when) my tree reverted to the old form before respec. I did the whole respec while in the respec menu, along with adding new nodes.
I also had this issue.

Here I tried to respec the lightning nodes to the cold nodes. It looks like it works, but when you switch zones it resets.

Luckily the gold also seems to not be spent.
Happens a lot for me too. I am trying to reroute my passives to optimize my build, so I uncheck a few nodes to get points enough to reroute a path, then I remove points from the old path and replace them into the nodes I unchecked, but it won't actually commit the changes I have made even though it does show them as being accepted visually. I can in example not slot in a jewel node I unlocked, because it has not actually changed the path. It doesn't seem like Gold or anything gets lost, so that's good, but it's very annoying. I feel like I can't trust that my build actually have the passives I have selected. Not great for a game where your build is a huge part of the character.

Respec not staying after zoning into a map as well.

For me, I tried to do what GGG has suggested in terms for setting up dual weapon specialization. While respeccing, I undid the shared nodes (showing I would incur a gold cost). But then applied weapon set 1 in their place (thus removing the gold cost). I then applied my second weapon set points elsewhere. I hit apply and see the nodes do their shiny application. However, the apply button is still present at the bottom the screen. Exiting out and looking at my skill tree showed that everything was applied. But zoning into a map resets it.
This happened to me as well. A significant Respec to reroute, tried 3 times and it seemed to succeed, but didn't actually work.
Same for me but with Sorceress...
I have had multiple issues with the partial respec/reverting passives (classes: DE Ranger, Titan). However, I just hit this issue and now I have a broken tree that shows illuminated passives with no other connections (flash storm notable).

PS: This may be occurring due to an "order of operations" situation - I noticed if I want to take a different path to the same end point, when I accept the changes, both paths may still exist.

Same for mercenary wh. Sunk all my gold.

Workaround is to not allocate new points.

I also hit interesting version of this bug were I had a disconnected node allocated.
Still encountering bugs. I refunded a bunch of points up one branch to go to a different branch. Now I have some floating nodes that are allocated that don't have the prerequisite nodes allocated and I can't refund them at hooded man.
