Do you use Vaal Arc in your totem build ?

As title says,

do you find usefull to have one strong burst from Vaal Arc ?

As Vaal gem are corrupted, you can not upgrade its quality, so you loose 10% of shock chance (unless you are lucky to find supperior one).

Is is worth it to use it in totem build ?

Nope. Its not convenient to use.

I use self cast (Vaal) Arc on my Hierophant with three Ball Lightning Totems. Works well enough. I like to start out with a Vaal Arc on Incursions to get the clock running. Nukes those Vaal Constructs good. Love it when I clear a few screens worth of packs with a single huge BLAP!

level 21 arc is so much more important than the % quality. Hell, as selfcast arc i just swapped to a regular level 21 because the primary damage was more valuable than having 1 big spell. Obviously the best for me is having a level 21 vaal arc but i've not gotten that to happen yet, and theyre still about 1.5 ex for the gem.

You can use the 20% vendor recipe to get a 20% quality one. You can corrupt a 20/20 Arc to get a better one (or not).

I find that casting Vaal Arc is really useful on breaches and abyssal cracks. It will also increase your damage a bit for 4 seconds on your regular arcs. I tend to use it when boss-killing just for that.

Not having too much fun with this build. Too easily killed. Need to roll up a second character soon.

If you don't you should, 4 seconds of lucky damage on a skill with as wide damage values as Arc is worth a pretty high amount of dps and thats before the guaranteed double effectiveness shock (if you can shock your relevant target)

I corrupted in the temple 3x 21/20 Vaal Arc's. Very good cash flow with everybody wetting their panties for arc now days.

very difficult to use while scrolling through packs. i prioritized getting a lvl21 arc for my char and havent regretted it yet. Farms everything even shaper. Easy peasy
