PoE Character Builds Compendium

I plan to collate all viable builds in a sticky thread in the corresponding Class forum of our website (below). This is similar to the old diabloii.net forums style of "Build Compendiums", if you are familiar with it.
Therefore, I am trying to collate as many different builds as possible. If you post a build, could you kindly copy & paste it into a new thread in our PoE Builds section of our website below. I have a "Compendium" sticky thread at the top of each Class forum, where I will be collating all viable builds. The website is www.HackSlashRepeat.com. Cheers and thanks. Interesting idea, but since the chars are much more diverging than in other games, I suspect giving complete builds to be somewhat difficult:
You can not rely on item stats, even the uniques (which are also not reliable in their actual stage of availability) have random sockets..., you can not rely on skills cause gems are also (more or less) random... The only thing you can set a build up on, is the passives tree - and even there is a specific build not always unique: if you run out of stat points at high level, there could be more than one path lead to the same result... so I'd say you can specify a general path to build a char with a desired characteristic, but I'd name this at most 20% of a complete build. I've noticed a subforum also for shadowflare on your site, this perhaps could be a reason for me to sign up... (even if I havent played for a long time, there's still some interest) invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

I wouldn't really post "pro" builds, I only have a bunch of 35+ characters and my computer is broken for the moment :-/

" You can still post a general build outline, including skill/support gems, passives, what mods to look for on gear etc. I see your point, however I don't think it necessarily means that it is impossible to post a concise build guide, perhaps just a little harder. There will inevitably be more variation in each and everyone's character (which is the gem of this game, IMO), however the function and gameplay of the character is likely to be very similar still. In any case, join up and help us kick off the ShadowFlare section :) If it's popular enough, we will set it up in a real forum, rather than nested under "Other Games". " Please, even "theoretical" builds are useful at this stage, as it allows us to experiment with new builds. In the worst case, we would probably tag the build as "untested". So if you do have some of these builds laying around, I urge you to post them up! We can try them out together. |

" I dont expect it to be enough popular actually, I knew a group of some few people (from a private US forum) playing and discussing the game some years ago, spread over the whole world, and very less people around this - and even this community seem to be fall asleep. (Ok, I'm also a bit out now, but I always will keep it. What I have noticed: there is no link to the "other games" in the jump menu ^^ invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

To everyone else, please jump on board and post some builds. If we get a few people posting a few builds every day, by the end of the week can have most common builds up and categorized/sorted. |
