Ranger Bow build regardless of skill gem

I am looking for help building a ranger build for survivability and can easy be modified for whatever skill gem I decide to use. I like the two new gems they are implementing that allow for 2 additional arrows as well as an arrow that pierces and then makes a bone archer that uses that skill. Can anyone assist with a base ranger build built for survivability that is can be modified please and suggest some weapons and armors that will help with survivability. Thanks in advance.
