Burning double dip question... (another)
Alright so I have been away from PoE for some time now and I have heard burning damage has changed a bit. The last I remember is that only Fire and Elemental damage would double dip.
I was told the mechanics changed. For example: If I use Trap support with Fireball.... will Trap damage passives now double dip on burn damage from those fireballs? Or projectile damage from fireball? I seem to be finding conflicting answers on this and was hoping for a more current response. Thanks! Trap damage will double dip in general, but trap and remote mine gems are exempt from the rule since 2.4 patch, so 'more trap/mine damage' support will double dip but 'trap' support won't.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Alright. So do "increased trap damage" from passives double dip?

Yeah, like I said, only 'trap' and 'remote mine' support do not double dip their damage bonuses.

" It's not really a exception, the support gems just have the additional condition "with Hits" now. Since Damage over Time doesn't Hit those stats can't apply to the DoTs as well. |

" Right, haven't noticed they did that, all's well in that case. Works as a bandaid, though it would be a crappy permanent fix.
