Is Chaos dot Shadow build viable?

I'm thinking about a build centered around Adders'touch and all the Chaos damage and dot nodes around the Shadow tree, probably dual wielding daggers with added chaos damage and puncture. Is the damage worth the investment? I'd probably go CI coupled with bloodrage and frenzy charges. Is it viable?

adders touch deals 10% of your hit dmg as poison for 2seconds so 20% in total. It also doesnt stack with itself so cannot have more than 1 "stack" on 1 enemy

so even with a lot of dot/chaos dmg nodes, around80-90% of your dmg will come from initial hits
