Zealot's Oath + Chaos Inoculation
Tried ZO as a melee templar and was really disappointed.
When I think of Zealots I thought of elemental damage melee warrior... but I was wrong. ZO is based on ES pool. Melee templar is a hybrid class and CI is NOT an option because strength is needed for tank and gank. With ZO I waste the benefit of my strength: bigger health pool and higher innate life regen. What are the gains? Constant ES regen (lower rate = bad), perma 50% stun resist and instant ES regen upon damage. Losses: Chaos raped. WHY EVEN BOTHER PUTTING THIS NEAR TEMPLAR? throwing a bone at us for lacking keystones? ZO is a purely caster INT keystone and should not be near a STR/INT class... I will give it another try after improving my ES pool... but still wont like being chaos raped with my HYBRID str/int built.... aka templar. |

Has anyone at all considered "eating" the costs for life regen nodes and taking the HP?
Specifically because ES users have "low" HP against stuns. Eating the costs means YES you're not getting actual HP but you ARE getting effective stun reduction. You'd think grabbing a few +X% HP nodes (effectively giving you +X% stun chance recuction) would be considered actually effective on melee classes.... IGN - PlutoChthon, Talvathir

Things I didn't see mentioned that I think are worthwhile:
Vitality Rejuvenation Totem Both of these skills will turn into ES regen. Sure Vitality is only .55% at the start (and has a % reserve cost) but .55% of 1500 (what i have at the moment) is 8.25 plus the templar node (which I am nest to already) i get 23.25 ES a second. Rejuvenation totem is currently at 70.6 health per second so I'd be at 93.85 ES/s. If you maxed vitality and rejuvenation totem and didn't get life regen at all from gear you would still have something like 110 fro RT and 1.5% from Vit plus the 1% node in templar tree we are now looking at about 147.5 ES/s for a 1500 pool. If you get up to 3k ES you'd get about 175 ES/s. Is it amazing? No is it worth something? Yes. I'm already right next to both of those nodes so it's only a 2 point dip for me (I have both body and souls). It also gives me dynamic ES Regen. Which is not something I always have. I'm not saying it's super great. But I think it CAN be useful. |
