" I haven't found it to be that big an issue. I'm hardly running any resists at all on my jewels, unlike what I remember seeing in your POB. The chest is -30, but I've got +53% over cap. I take 45% on my amulet, 30% on one ring and 27% on another. The rest is from points on the tree.. 48% maybe? Switching to an Astramentis I gain 40 dex and a 150 life, but I drop 3k dps. I'd still be over-res but I wouldn't be able to use Wise Oak, so I'd have to upgrade everything again to move the resists around. Not worth it yet. I'm holding out until the damage drops off. I can tell things are taking longer in Yellow maps now, but I feel tankier now that I upgraded Lunaris to 10% avoid projectiles. Haven't decided yet whether Phase acrobatics is worth the four points. We'll see after I finally find my last trial and take one of the avatars. |

An update:
I wanted more life and DPS, so I bought an Astramentis and a cyclopean coil. In order to get my resists right again, I had to buy a new frostbite ring and three new jewels. In total, this cost me 84c (amulet, two rings, belt, and three %life + resits jewels.) All told I boosted my standing DPS from 200 to 243k while my life went from 4100 to 4700. So I suppose the answer is... it made the upgrade process more expensive. Probably by 30c or so, I'd guess. " |

" There was a bug acknowledged when you run out of mana, the game no longer performs a default attack. Before a default attack would get enough mana back to get you your next use of the skill, where as now it might take a second to do so, leaving you floundering until recovery or flask gets you back up into enough mana again. It might be enough that you are seeing a lot of mana issues you normally wouldn't, I know I am seeing it from time to time when I didn't last league and not carrying a mana flask either league. coloring the chest seems impossible. what's the most effective way to get the right color. or any other alternatives?

" Personally I've changed my line up to 3g3r. And got the chest to as close to that as I can before Vorici benching it for sockets in a Research Safehouse. (My view being that I *can* run it 3g3r and it shows the highest POB damage for Ice Crash, Fortify, EDAS, Cold Pen, Cullng Strike, Added cold damage but results might vary. If the white sockets hit greens then we can have all red or 5r1g, If they partly hit the greens we get another red back, if they hit all the reds its still playable). Ideally I will rechange the chest to the right colours later on when I have more currency since atm I'm poor, and last league I outright bought the right colours on trade for almost nothing. for those that struggle with socket colors. if you saved up syndicate missions, you can do it yourself. just run white/yellow maps with all your missions, map level doesn't matter. it took me one try to get to the safehouse with vorici as leader (you don't need him to be leader. just rank 3 in research is enough).
alternatively you can also buy vorici craft for like 50c. just follow on the trade channel and whisper as soon as you see someone selling it. I sold my second bench (since vorici was the leader) and even turned some profit on this don't scam yourself trying to chrome it. much cheaper to run the missions or buy the bench. PS: a rank 3 vorici has about 63% chance to convert at least one of the green sockets to white on a 4R2G armor. two benches if vorici is leader (meaning two tries) has 86% chance. these are very good odds in POE =) |

At least I am personally running Cold Pen, Faster Attacks and Ice Bite as 3 greens until I can put Vorici at research. But biggest difference I'd say is that until you really have the budget to get watchers eye(it was what, 7ex?) with hatred cold pen I am using Quarz Infusion and Avatar of the Veil as ascendancy. And second best thing is to drop vengeful heart notable in favor of Cold to the core(cold dps per 25 dex/str/int) in large cluster jewel. Also getting one unset to put there Blood Rage with elemental leech is pretty good.

A5 Sirus was easy to kill.
So the way I see it, A8 Sirus is going to very hard to kill unless I have the mechanics on point. My dps is around 1.5 million, without flasks and vaal skills, without Blood stance. A8 is going to be a really long fight, unless I can double my DPS to 3 million. It might be impossible because might end up dying 6 times in phase 3. Sirus is hyper aggressive in A8. Zero deaths in phase 1, 2. That's too easy now. |
