How many fusings did it take you guys to 6 L? I'm through 89 and still nada.

I've tried 6 linking two chests this league and I've spent well over 1k fusings by now, 89 is very low, and those that get a 6l in under 100 are very very lucky.

Hey guys, I've got just over 3 Exalted Orbs to spend on my build, however not quite sure where I can get the biggest upgrades. Any thoughts? Gear is below:






I do seem to struggle leveling up past level 90, I get to around 15-20% through the level and then get killed. Any help greatly appreciated :).

No warding flask (curse immunity), that's why you die. Make Chemist's Silver flask of Warding like in the guide.

Also you have 0 movement speed on boots.

More life will help also.

How did you craft it exactly?

I gifted lots of top claws and helmets last league xD

Bought the ilvl 86 Regicide Mask with 40% Pesti Strike Damage for 1ex.
Slammed Hunter's Exalted Orb onto it.
Started Alt Spamming it looking for "Nearby enemies have -9% to chaos resistance"
Used an Orb of Augmentation when i hit it. Got crap, tried to annul it, Annuled the -chaos resist instead.
Kept alt spamming until i hit it again.
Orb of Augmentation => Tier 1 life (lucky I guess)
Regal Orb => T1 Fire Resist (lucky again)
Mastercrafted Life/Evasion Hybrid Mod onto it
Then Exalt slammed it twice, got me Dexterity and the crappy Evasion/ES Hybrid Mod.

I guess I was lucky with the continued crafts, but i hit the -9% Chaos resist twice in ~400 Alts, so that seems a little better to me than fossil crafting, which is WAY more expensive to begin with

Edit: In hindsight it would have probably been better to multimod craft it after i had -chaos Resist/T1 Life/T1 Fire Res, maybe I shouldn't have done this at 4 in the morning :D

I made 2 with fossil crafting and it really didnt take that long. Probably 9-10 crafts for each.

Also, were those alts you had saved? Because alts are not cheap right now. They are a little over 4 to 1 right now. Yes, its crazy this league. 4.3 alts per chaos. So you spent around 94 chaos alt spamming that if you used 400.

A fossil craft is about 5 chaos per craft. So, you could have done 18 or 19 fossil crafts for the same amount of alts you used. And crafting site says its generally 1/48 for 70+ life and -9. And its generally a 200 chaos cost in crafting mats before you get it.

Alts, for 70 life and -9, is 1/3200, and has an average cost of about 1300 chaos orbs to pull off. If you are just going for -9 resist, its about 1/320, and a 100 chaos orb cost on average to get -9.

So overall, I think if all you care about is -9, then alts is ok. But if you want life and possible resists, I'd stick to fossils.

I think its more a case you got lucky, lol. I did the same thing wiht a pair of a gloves. I hit Chaos damage over time and Strike skills additional 1 on gloves with just alts. Thats like 1/32000, lol. And I had been up forever, awake at 5am, and I didnt even think about multi-modding them so I regaled some junk life regen on it, kinda bricked them, and sold them off. I should have multi-modded them; they would have been better than what I'm wearing.

I still think most people will have more success fossil crafting the helm, because they will end up with a better item most of the time. But if all you really care about is -9 and dont mind crafting 60 life on it, then alts will be cheaper on average by half. But, its an end-game item; I'd just go for a good roll, personally. Helm is like one of htose things you start finishing the build with, so I personally wouldn't skimp on it with just -9 and some life crafted on it. I'd take my shot at a good one.

The changes to the fossil system and certain mods only appearing on certain bases also jacked up the Alteration prices, along with Cluster Jewel crafting.

Currently testing fixes for survivability:

7% phasing on kill jewel to help with WB bugging in packs (not sure what's up with this skill btw but when the server lags its horrible)
Warding flask
Optimized flasks to compensate losing "Of Reflexes" (Iron Skin was 63%, now 97% increased armour)
Overcapped resists just in case
10% block at the cost of a little under 100 life

Just bought two elder imperial claws on Xbox ..
Both item level 85 .
So far I tried 3 craft attempts (with the metallic , corroded , aberrant ) and hit the poison mod 3 times but no chaos damage each time .

Just wondering on average how many times it takes for you guys to hit the right mods ?
