Crimson Dance: Is It A Must Have For Bleed Builds?

I'm making a bleed-based Double Strike character (why? because I'm weird), and I'm wondering if Crimson Dance is good or not.

Well, if the target is standing still, you need 2 effects of bleeding to match the damage without Crimson Dance; and at full stack, you basically quadrupling the damage compared to a non Crimson Dance.
Now if the target is moving, you need 6 effects of bleeding to match the damage without the keystone; at full stack you'll be doing 33,4% more damage compared to without the keystone. It probably makes little difference....
I've looked at a number of bleed characters for people, and they tend to be a bit surprised once I point out how little of their damage actually comes from bleed. It;'s good for bleedsplosions, and for proccing effects on double strike and some gear, but it's incredibly hard to scale as an effective damage source. |

Oof, this build is pretty shit so far; I'm hoping it picks up at 75 when I can use Atziri's Disfavour.

Quality your axe, get curse removal on utility flask, replace eternal life flask with another utility flask

" Not sure how I forgot to quality my axe, working on the other two -- I bankrupted myself to gear this guy, still working on getting back to functionality. How can I find a way to use Bloodlust Support? It looks so good, but I only have one attack to apply bleeding with. |

I used totem to apply bleed reliably on bosses, for clearing "losing" 1 socket didn't really matter. Could get chance to bleed from jewels too. Idk if that's worth doing

So find room to slot Ancestral Protector and put Bloodlust on my Double Strike links?
