Soul Mantle & the Curses

First totem build. At level 90, no issues other than being a bit of a glass cannon. Dropped a Soul Mantle, jeweled 6 sockets and before I make a major investment for 6 link, had a couple questions.

Do we mitigate the curses with flasks, I guess?

Is it worth it?

Having essentially a 7th link with +1 totem seems pretty nice.

Warding flask(s) or 2* Kikazaru rings are the easiest methods.

And yes it´s worth using damage boost is great.

You want to use https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Self-Flagellation
to boost damage even more.

Do the rings negate map curses as well? Flasks don't, as far as I can tell(?)

It works on all curses (reduced by 80% for two Kikazaru rings).

The flask with warding mod works on map curses too.

an extra tips:
There´s also very expensive shield called Atziri's Reflection that might work too but I haven´t tested it myself.
Gladiator has 25% reduced curse effectiveness as ascendancy node so you can reach 100% with him (and two kikazaru rings).

Map curses mean and extra damage for you (with the jewel).

Okay, the change is dramatic.

Only managed to get the Soul Mantle 5-link before getting squeemish (maybe 250 fusings in). Added the 2 Kikazaru rings and found a reasonable 15c Self-flag Jewel at 16% damage per curse.

The damage increase is substantial, especially with the curses boost. I lost some hp with the rings but the 1 life per level regen × 2 makes the build feel a lot more solid. Plus MoM and 35% & 37% Mana regen × 2 works nicely too.

The fun fact for the day though is Atziri's Mirror shield. 50% reduced duration shortens the Self-flag buff. Not major since totems are always up and down, but it does mean my totems can outlive the curse duration in situations.

I'm gonna mess with it a bit and and my dual wield to see what works, but this is really interesting.

and the very expensive one (HH level) with "Unaffected by Curses" mod (you can´t be cursed?; jewel has probably no effect - not sure here - but you don´t need Kikazaru)

"unaffected" means that you still count as cursed, but the curses have no effect on you.. its like having "100% less curse effect on you" modifier
