The thing is, it's hard to increase difficulty without slowing down the meta, which GGG does not want to do because .... well because many would likely stop if it happened.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

what i wanted to achieve is to have more players playing in the main game instead of rushing to maps. it's just sad people rush through there when ggg spent so much effort making it nice but ignorable.

what ggg eventually did is add more endgame content which i find counter productive.
for me, a "über" boss is a placeholder for missing content, indicating creators were running out of dev time or content.

and we got alot of them now.

what's next? uberuberuberElder fighing überüberAtziri while shaper makes the babysitter for glas cannon builds?

I think the betrayal encounters are a little bit too overpowered. It's easier to kill uberelder than some t13+ encounter. 5k hits from the mobs are too high i think. And it's no flame/whine whatever, i can progress without the encounter. And i think my gear isn't bad, so pleas GGG Staff, take a little overview and think about the damage.

It would help if the story line after a3 was any good you know.
I'm skipping interacting with betrayal outside if lower level rushing (blood aqueducts runs, lower tier map spam, etc). Zero scaled rewards, syndicate bosses twice as strong as the map boss I'm running, trash mobs that are infinite/instant spawn, as well as some mechanics just bugged. This is just *bad design*. The content isn't bad in concept or direction, it has potential, but the execution and tuning is rookie league modder content circa 2005.

I'm tired of atlas being the only de-facto "end-game", delve was great since it was an alternative endless scaling challenge, betrayal is best as a background mechanic that serves no real threat (see BA/low tier map spam).

Don't be this obtuse.

I have been playing since 2013 and the leagues that bothered me were abyss (due to charging rares that were basically a gearcheck) and delve (that was too disconnected from maps for me to enjoy, just personal preference).

As much gearcheck abyss was, it pales in comparison with the amount of undodgeable oneshots and screen filled with projectiles this league has. It's a huge gearcheck and only a gearcheck. There's nothing that requires skill during the actual combat. Just kill everything and pray that it that fled won't slam your ass with 999999 chaos damage.

Did I mention it is severely bugged? I 90% of the maps, I don't get to experience this league content because the fortresses spawn out of reach in burial chambers. But I'm perfectly fine with that.

Fortification encounters are just dumb. The endless mob spawn outside the doors is just too much. Why does there have to be green smoke everywhere ? and why do those mobs have like 4 times the hp tham regular mobs ? I feel like a headless chicken running around the fortifications trying to kill the doors through the wall of trash mobs while getting hit by AOE that i can´t see through the dumb green clouds.

Please GGG i want to enjoy the league. At the moment i feel like locking the mechanic and never interact with it again.
Honestly Betrayal league has a great system which can be really fun, but it is a bit overturned, so that portion could use some tweaks.
I'm so f***ing tired of these instants kill... I don't see where is the challenge and the difficulty when you don't understand why you wipe.

It's just living BAM death. Why ? I don't know.

Even why you try to skip the encounter, they pop on you and BAM death.
You see nothing only a blur of green on you screen, something jump bim you're dead even if you spam your mouvment skill.

Challenge is when I have to use my skill to avoid the death not when I'm instant kill without any chance to dodge.

Since I play this game instant kill have always been a problem but in this league ? it's absolutly frustrating.

I was running T7-8 maps no issues. I made the mistake of clearing the syndicate little hide out or whatever it is. Bounced down to a tier 2 and get smoked by a syndicate member. Really? I can stomp a T8 boss but syndicate in a T2 one shots me. LOUSY balancing. Got them back in their hid out and i don't bother going in it.
