Finding Terminus Est
Hello, i just did my first ssf char and i am looking for a decent 2h weapon and i read that terminus est works well with flicker. What is the best way to find one? i know there are divination cards but that one will be corrupted if i farm "the gentleman" and if i go about farming "Jack in the box" is very random.
how does these divination cards work? Does your level matter in some way? Is there a specific level you should be when turning them in? or can a low level get high level items so it doesn't matter? or if you can recommend any other 2 hand weapon that works with flicker i can use until it drops or anything else useful drops :) Zuletzt angestoßen am 29.11.2017, 17:51:13

Common advice on these forums is that if you play SSF, you shouldn't expect specific Unique items.

Migrate from SSF and find it on poe.trade if your really want to relly on some specific unique(s) for your character.
In other options - chancing, div. cards farming & gambling, rarity-based MF. And yes, 100% random, you can't avoid it with your SSF chars. Zuletzt bearbeitet von bSun0000#3204 um 28.11.2017, 11:02:39

I am aware of that it is completely random, i also played d2 self found and made fully geared char. thanks for reminding me though :) I just like having goals and was curious of the best way to find it only.
Thanks bSun for listing the possible ways of getting it, the hunt is on :) |

Scour-chancing is probably the most realistic option. It is not a super uncommon unique. I would expect that with 200 scours and chance orbs you might have a decent chance.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

Mind you, D2, GD, TQ, TL or Sacred are designed to be played self-found, PoE is designed around trading and the difference is pretty stark. Trading for key items only in PoE would probably be a rough equivalent to playing other games self found.
In your boots I'd focus on chancing it but if I got one before burning 400-500 of them I'd consider myself lucky, do the 5xchance recipe with surplus uniques to get more orbs. There's also the prophecy that upgrades an item into a unique, that's a guaranteed Terminus Est because it's the only unique item on that base but getting one is a small miracle and it's a bloody waste to spend it on a common unique. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" I was in similar situation when i started playing in SSF a few weeks ago. Chanced tons of tiger swords. Yesterday i had 51 ilvl terminus est dropped. You can try farming Gentleman, but there are just to many unique swords in game. The good news are, unless you want a flicker strike build (bad idea for SSF unless you already have a couple of diamond rings and starkonja/rat's nest), you don't need it. With some alterations, regal, vegan, maybe some essences and a bit of luck you can make a better sword for yourself. Zuletzt bearbeitet von LaiTash#6276 um 28.11.2017, 11:27:10

Chance. It's the orb that makes SSF players have a route to finding specific uniques. Get a loot filter and chance the right base every time you find one. Buy bases from the NPCs to chance. Keep at it until you run out of chance orbs or get the item you want.
That's the only way. Chance orbs can be farmed like the chaos recipe, but with items lower than ilvl 60. Don't hear much about it because chance orbs don't have the same value in regular play as they do in SSF. You also get chance orbs selling two copies of a rare from a chest that creates mirrored copies. Zuletzt bearbeitet von Shagsbeard#3964 um 28.11.2017, 13:43:37

I did that with Alpha's Howl. First white Sinner's Tricorne I ever found chanced in one orb.
