Zooming Out All the Way on Subterranean Chart Causes "Reference Count" Crash in Standard

Was looking at the Subterranean Chart after a Delve; between Realm restarting in a few minutes, and bedtime, I concluded I wasn't going to be able to do another Delve, but wanted to get a sense of what I wanted to do tomorrow evening since I still had sulphite (despite the debalancing of sulphite cost per Delve node with 3.5.)

In Delve League I discovered near the end I was able to zoom out using mousewheel while on the Subterranean Chart and see more of the mine. I tried that again about 10 min ago; after about 4-5 wheelouts, weird colored blocks (about the size of a node, slightly textured) started appearing on the chart. A moment later, my computer popped up an "out of memory" error message. I clicked through and tried to get back to POE, which whited out and gave me a "This Program is Not Responding" error message. I told it to Wait and See if Responds, and then POE started giving me a string of error messages of the form

"

"Data/(ThingName).dat": Reference count for loaded resource Data/(ThingName).dat is (number)

with the parentheses contents varying between messages.

I screencaptured the first six, in sequence, and then gave up and clicked through. After about 30 seconds of clicking and hitting escape, they finally stopped and POE was no longer running.

I stated the program back up and confirmed that my account seems to be okay, as opposed to the last time I had a crash or connection problem where the server took it upon itself to maintain a ghost connection just long enough to kill me and knock off 10% of my XP...
