Syndicate too hard!

Title says it all.

I just picture a new player. You get through the start of act 1, everything seems to be going fine, and then you meet the Syndicate. And you get facerolled. When you finally beat it, after dying a hundred times, you don't have a clue about what to do, because there are no instructions to what it means to "bargain", "execute", "betray", etc.

I'm on my second character now. Got to act 3, really fun stuff. I've one-shot pretty much everything on the way. And then the Syndicate comes. Boom, dead in one shot. Again and again.

This is the first time I have to run from League content. Was this even tested at all?

[sarcasm on] First sign up for 3 months Path of Exile courses where you'll learn how to play the game. After that come back. [sarcasm off]

Don't say it's 'hard', that's not the right word for it. "Hard" or "difficult" implies the possibility of counterplay.

That's not the case here. There's oneshots abound for even the tankiest builds that (literally) appear out of nowhere or come from offscreen, all the while the endless mobs and the visual vomit betrayal brings prevents you from seeing what's happening when the syndicate members *are* onscreen.


It's not "hard". It's garbage design and balance lacking any common sense or even the slightest bit of real testing. I genuinely don't think anyone at GGG ran a real character through this content without dev cheats, cuz anyone with supposed 1k hours could easily tell this is out of line.

There's a reason HC'ers and streamers are actively sealing away the content by finding Jun at a lab and not running it (which makes nothing but labs keep spawning each instance until you do attempt it).

Best two gems for this league. Phase run + inc duration.

Syndicate members definitely need some balance. I stuggled from level 65 to 73 and only now with 3.4K HP and 10K DPS i just started slaying those nasty syndicate folks...
