Cremation + Chain

I am not sure if it is supposed to work but if I link Cremation with Chain the icon appears that it actually gets supported by chain.

Does that mean it should bounce 2 more times just like magma orb?

Secondly, I got the dead eye +1 chain and it doesn't bounce an extra time. What is the intended effect of Chain on Cremation?

Chain does not work with dead eye nor does it work with the gem.

The problem is that the support gem shows up as a support on the cremation icon as a little c. So I get the -50% dmg but no chain. I am guessing it is supposed to work like magma orb but doesn't.

Cremation has the Projectile tag, which links with Chain Support. So you get all the effects of the support, even if it does not functionally chain on use. Same thing with an Aura and Concentrated Effect, you lose the area, reserve more mana but won't get more aura boost from it.

I imagine it works like molten strike and the projectiles don't bounce, so supporting it with chain just drops dmg with no benefit
