Please fix Whirling Blades flaw when in a large pack

I've been frustrated this Legacy League by a very irritating super aggravating flaw with WB. When trying to move in a large pack battle the lag of the server getting updated with the client PoE mouse pointer position makes it such that trying to move fast becomes near impossible. The worst is when I'm in an end map boss battle room and I need to kite fast and my use of WB does not always move my exile in the direction of my mouse pointer. For example I ran Dungeon map last night with 3 LeagueStones. Clearing the map went smoothly but one of the LeagueStones gave me 2 exiles (2 Warden type bosses) to battle. Since it's the same as the prison warden battle x 2 moving is key to surviving and WB was approx. 1/3rd of the time moving my exile in the wrong direction. Only because my current build is a melee tank did I persevere and not die but I did need to teleport out once to fill my flasks due to a time when the 2 bosses had spawned many dozens of minions and WB was nearly useless and I'd end up dancing back and forth from point A to point B and then back to point A instead of point C where I had moved my mouse pointer to. The failure of the server simulation to get updated on my mouse pointer position was the worst I had ever experienced.

Here is the battle end screen:

100s of destroyed minion skeletons litter the floor.

As I stated fortunately I survived but if WB worked correctly this tough battle would have been a whole lot more fun and not white knuckle frustrating due to the failure to move in the proper direction.

The failure of WB to move correctly based on my client PoE mouse pointer position in not limited to small room fights. Even in outdoor maps I have the same problem. It occurs anytime I use WB to move in close proximity to large packs. Standard movement in mob packs is unaffected.

Please fix very soon GGG. Thank you.

Edit: Almost forgot, I'm running 32-bit PoE on Windows 7 Pro with 8 GB ram and AMD 6870 gpu. My latency to the Dallas Realm is well under 100 ms and last night it was averaging in the 50 ms time so Internet latency was not at fault this time.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

It's not a bug, it's how the gem is meant to be used.

If you target a creature with your mouse, it will simply cast in the direction of that creature, until it's dead.

If you want to move in a specific direction, make sure your mouse is not targeting a creature, or you'll 'travel back and forth'.

Ultimately it is an attack gem, and not strictly a movement gem.

-- Edit

I'm not home to try, but I know if you hold shift when auto-attacking it will stop character movement and attack in that direction.
Maybe this translates to gem attacks as well?

Worth a try.

#CRLF not found. Abandoning thread.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
WB suffers from bad implementation and bad GUI. Not exactly sure about the exact mechanics/problems though.

At least one of the problems has to do with the speed (possibly in relation with the connection quality) of WB. This gives me a "zipping around randomly/backwards if I have acceleration shrine on" symptom and keep pointer down near character.

The main GUI issue I have with it is that it does not target the cursor position properly if at all but uses namelock on monster. I also have the impression that in case of system overload (number of mobs usually, dont know if client side or server side) this (mis)behaviour does not work correctly and the WB will happily target a previously-but-no-longer namelocked mob. No proof of this though.

Another symptom I have seen often is that somehow WB does not "go off" properly if there are many mobs and/or effects around. Also do not know if this is client and/or server side problem. Happened frequently in Izaro stage 3. In this situation I have to press down the button unusually long for it to go off.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
