Flame dash doesn't work like this!
Every time I use flame dash I take 2-3 steps before escaping a hot situation, and that is why I die a lot of times. This skill is not ok like this please cut that few steps somehow! This skill is for fast escaping but doesn't work!

Never tried flame dash because none of the movement skills work as well as they sound.
It's better to just be unstunnable, antifreeze on flask, and quartz flask. They learned how much we broke D2 with teleport to let us have good movement skills. There comes a time thief when jewels cease to sparkle, gold loses it's luster, throne room becomes a prison, and all that's left is a father's love for his child. - King Osric

press your hold position key before you cast the spell and it will instantly cast. you can also use this trick to jump gaps that you normally wouldn't be able to cross.

I enjoy flame dashing to Piety through the bars at the first encounter....still can't add her to my friends list though.

I macroed shift to this.. just like i macroed always shift to lightning strike.. because it should just work like that at all times, other shit is clunky. Am not feeling like holding shift down all the time when i lightning strike, and flame dash should just dash in the direction for quick escape, not needing you to make it a forced shift-combo hotkey.

The extra step with shift is completely unnecessary, just like with placing mines. It just leads to people using macros/programmable input devices to do what should be standard functionality.

^ That's why, long ago, I suggested a toggle for skills (e.g., hold shift while allocating a skill to the hotbar) that switches them to stand only by default, and uses shift to move+skill.

I know about the shift key mode. In my opinion a panic-like key should be the most easiest construction - one button.

" The way I have set it up, it is - one click for destination with mouse, one button keypress. Right-handed setup: 1. Set the "attack in place" key to spacebar. 2. Set Flame Dash to left mouse button. So when I panic, I only need to move the mouse and click and hold down LMB where I want to go and then hit spacebar with my thumb while running in that direction, holding down spacebar for a series of jumps if necessary to gain great distance, while the remaining four fingers of my left hand are available for potion use. Of course using spacebar rather than shift as the key is pure preference, but I find it much faster to hit spacebar with my left thumb than left shift with my left little finger, since my left thumb is resting on the spacebar most of the time. |
